- Recruitment problems solved at Slough
As a result of WiseWork working with the Environmental Services Department at Slough Borough Council to introduce flexible working, the team has been able to recruit and retain five new staff who would not have been able to take up the posts previously.
- ENCAMS close regional offices and introduce home working
The environmental charity ENCAMS has adopted flexible
working with our help and saved substantial costs by closing regional offices
and reducing space at the head office. As a result of our work, they became the
first charity in the country to be accorded the Investors in People Work-Life
Balance standard and have also figured in the Sunday Times Top 100 small
companies list for two years.
- Word Association gains national standard
Having commissioned WiseWork to review its work-life balance provisions, Word Association became of one of the first marketing consultancies to gain the national Work-Life Balance Standard.
- Seagram Spirits and Wines Group
Using as a basis a Work-life
Balance programme launched in the USA in 1998 called "FLEXoptions -
Alternative Ways to Work", Wisework were tasked to help with the
development, branding and marketing of a new Flexible Working
Programme primarily for the UK and European operations.
- BMJ Publishing Group
Wisework explored new ways of working to widen recruitment and support the introduction of new operational processes and business model; seeking to contain amount and cost of space in medium term and reduce overcrowding and poor ergonomics and enable local headcount growth in the short term.
- The NCNT closes down its office and improves effectiveness
Recently The NCNT, a children’s charity, moved out of
its Headquarters offices in London’s Moorgate and adopted a flexible
working structure based on working both at and from its personnel’s homes
and at client’ sites. Despite the initial setup costs and ongoing
support costs; this has resulted in significant savings in annual operating
costs, money which has been diverted into the development of new client services.
